POLITICIANS...JUST PEOPLE, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?

POLITICIANS AND BIG SHOTS BUSTED!

Toronto Canada's Mayor Rob Ford Admits To Smoking Crack-Cocaine After Captured On Ranting Video Below. (November 2013)

But wait! Florida Congressman Trey Radel gets busted purchasing cocaine in, get this...Washington, DC of all places. (November 2013)
This man is so lucky he did not get arrested in his hometown of Florida where they have the strict drug laws.

Next Video Is Of Mayor Gordon Jenkins Of Monticello, NY After
 DWI Arrest. (November 2013)

Just goes to show you that there is no one who in incapable of sinning or of being tempted.  All men fall short of the glory of God and with a little more push from the people, these big shots will not get away with a simple slap on the wrist.  Any other citizen would have received more severe punishment, humiliation from police officers, correction officers and the fines would have had to be paid with much loss and sacrifice.

DOES THIS GUY HAVE BALLS OR WHAT?

San Diego Mayor sex offender, Bob Filner wants city to pay legal fees in sex harassment suit.

Filner has been accused of sexually harassing multiple women -- a total of seven women have publicly come forward claiming he acted inappropriately toward them.

The mayor has since apologized for "offending" women, and will enter intensive therapy for two weeks to "begin the process of addressing [his] behavior."

Filner has made the request that he should be defended under the city’s expense through a letter from his lawyer Harvey Berger.

The letter stated that Filner should have the city pay for representation under California Government codes 825 and 995 – which deal with compensation and defense of public employees.

The San Diego City Attorney’s Office is advising the council during Tuesday night’s meeting.

City Attorney Jan Goldsmith has said his office will not represent Filner, but he has not said whether or not the city will be responsible for his legal fees. It is not clear at this time how the council will act.

Perhaps Bob Filner simply has faith and hope in his peers and his system but if the city pays for his defense, it will leave many of us with much suspicion and raised eyebrows.

Thank goodness he is out!

POPE FRANCIS WAS A BOUNCER AT AN ARGENTINE NIGHT CLUB

He is quite an interesting and unique pope, adding some color as well as controversy to Catholicism!

Before Pope Francis became God’s enforcer, he moonlighted as a nightclub bouncer.  His Holiness told parishioners recently that he held a variety of odd jobs before embracing the call of the priesthood.  As a college student in Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, as he was known then, swept floors, ran tests in a chemical lab and even worked as bouncer to make extra cash, he said.

The pontiff detailed his roundabout path to the priesthood during a visit to a church near Rome, after a parishioner asked him to pray for a relative who was seeking to be a Franciscan friar.  The pope said he would pray that the friar wannabe will have “the perseverance to go forward, but also the courage to turn back if he understands that this is not the right path.”  The fresh revelations about Francis’ humble past added to his reputation as an every day kind of person pope, who has turned down many of the luxuries traditionally afforded to pontiffs.  Pope Francis regaled worshipers before and after Mass on Sunday at the church of San Cirillo Alessandrino in a working-class district on the outskirts of Rome, the Catholic News Service reported; he also recalled the nervous moments he endured after being elected pope on March 13, 2013, succeeding retired Pope Benedict XVI.  “Was I anxious? A little, yes, but everyone was nice. But it’s true, having a lot of people in front of you is a bit scary,” he said of his first Mass as pope.  “But now, thank God, I feel really good.  The Lord helped me be a priest, to be a bishop and now to be the pope.”

Before celebrating Mass on Sunday, he met with parents of newborns and urged them to be patient with their little ones.  “When we baptize them, we bring home not just our child but also a seed of divinity that we have to help grow,” he said.  “Patience with children is beautiful, just as it’s beautiful to talk with them and teach.”

Isaiah 17: Destruction of Damascus

Isaiah 17: Destruction of Damascus

In the last days, the Bible tells us of a horrible series of events that will take place in the lands of Israel and Syria. One of these events is the disappearance of Damascus as one of the premiere cities in the world. The oldest continuously inhabited city on the planet, Damascus has witnessed at least 5,000 years of human history, and some historians believe the city actually dates back to the seventh millennium BC. In fact, Paul was on the road to Damascus when Christ first appeared to Him, an event that transformed not only his life, but the course of human history.

In the very near future, Damascus will once again play a major role in human events. The prophet Isaiah provides us with God’s commentary on a future conflict between Damascus and Israel, and in so doing, he reveals certain prophecies which have been partially fulfilled in the past. However, the ultimate fulfillment of Isaiah 17 remains in the future. The current existence of Damascus, which will one day cease to be a city, as well as the historical absence of the coalition of nations prophesied to attack Israel and be destroyed by God, is proof that Isaiah 17 prophesies events yet future.

This is what God revealed to the prophet Isaiah: “This message came to me concerning Damascus: ‘Look, Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins. The cities of Aroer will be deserted. Sheep will graze in the streets and lie down unafraid. There will be no one to chase them away. The fortified cities of Israel will also be destroyed, and the power of Damascus will end. The few left in Aram will share the fate of Israel’s departed glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah 17:1-3

WE HAVE A NEW POPE ! HABEMUS PAPAMI ! March 13-13

Only 24 hours of Conclave the Catholic Cardinals have elected a new pope but who is he?  The smoke coming out of the chimney is white but the newly elected pope will still have to be fitted into his new clothing as well as having a private mass before he steps out onto the balcony to his tens of thousands awaiting pilgrims and faithfuls.

It is Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina who chose the name of Francis and is the first South American Pope.
